One of the most historically interesting educational institutions of Cáceres
The "IES Universidad Laboral" Secondary School is a public centre dependent on the Department of Education of the Regional Government of Extremadura.
HISTORY:
Its teaching work dates back to the 1955/56 academic year, as a Labour Institute (first for boys and later also for girls), but its facilities were not the current ones, they were part of the current "Francisco Valdés" Public School. In the 1960s it moved to its current location, as a Technical Institute, becoming a Secondary School in 1973. Its facilities have been considerably extended since 1979.
