The building that currently houses the Cáceres Town Hall is a project of the architect Ignacio Mª de Michelena and was finished in 1869, it presides over the Plaza Mayor as it is elevated on a staircase, the porticoed atrium with five semicircular arches stands out on the façade. . Above is the noble floor with a balcony where the plenary hall is located. The building is finished with the coat of arms of the city and a clock.
