Religious architecture
This monastery was founded in the 17th century, it is a Baroque style building, highlighting in its main facade a window surrounded by shields that represent the arms of Felipe II at the top and on the sides the shield of the Franciscan order and the shield from the city of Cáceres.
It is built on a site donated to the Franciscan order by the city council to build a hospital, thus giving rise to the San Antonio infirmary. It was confiscated in the 19th century, having various uses until in 1974 it was once again occupied by another religious order, the Mothers Jerónimas, who currently run it.
Their sweets are very famous and sold through a lathe located in the entrance hall of the building.
