Religious architecture
Located outside the walls, very close to the Puerta de Mérida, it is made mainly of masonry. Inside, Gothic elements can be seen in a side chapel. It will be in the 18th century when it is modified to achieve the aspect that we can see today.
The Virgen de las Candelas, a 17th century carving, is a very beloved image in the city, which goes out in procession on February 2, crossing the Monumental City to the church of San Mateo.
