This flanking tower is of Almohad construction and dates to the twelfth century, when the final reformation of the wall was undertaken before the Reconquista of Cáceres by the troops of King Alfonso IX of León.
It is attached to the city’s defensive wall, fortifying it even more.
The rammed earth technique was used in its construction, similar to the current formwork, which uses pressed earth or adobe as the main material.
Recommendations: Located next to the Balbos Forum and the Horno Tower, it offers a good perspective of the wall of Cáceres.
