Pre-Columbian and colonial Ecuadorian art. A selection of works from Guayasamín.
The son of Don Francisco Martín Pedrilla and Doña Ana de Lancaster Laboreiro was consul in Cáceres for many years, perhaps because of his Portuguese ancestry. The funds come from the artistic heritage of the Diputación Provincial and from donations made by individuals. From documentation on illustrious figures (from music, literature, research or politics), plastic artists, painters and sculptors (Rafael Lucenqui, Nicanor Álvarez Gata, Conrado Sánchez Varona, Juan Caldera, Eulogio Blasco, etc.), to an educational tour of the prehistory and history of Extremadura. The Guayasamin Foundation is located in the garden area, with works by the famous Ecuadorian painter and samples of Pre-Columbian and Colonial Art.
