With jets of different intensity, it serves as a roundabout on Avenida España, at the transition between Paseo de Cánovas and Paseo Calvo Sotelo, in the center of Cáceres. It was created by the architect, writer and hydraulic engineer Carlos Buigas and inaugurated on June 28, 1965. For its creation the author was inspired by the style he used, in the Montjuic Park, for the Universal Exhibition of Barcelona in 1929. The The objective of this fountain was to create a show of light and water in the center of the city, to the delight of its inhabitants and visitors.
