It was built in the fourteenth century and restored in the fifteen and eighteenth centuries, but the name comes from the Marquis of Monroy, who inherited it in the nineteenth century, later destined to be a school for orphaned girls.
The Saavedra coat of arms stands out on the main façade, made of marble with granite ornamentation, all from the eighteenth century.
Currently, the building houses the Cáceres Chamber of Commerce and Industry, which acquired it in 1977 and contracted its restoration to the architect, Joaquín Silos.
Recommendations: In addition to its professional activities, the Chamber also holds classes and temporary exhibitions.
