This palace is wedged between the Church of Santa María and the Palace of Golfines de Abajo.
From the fifteenth century to today, it has undergone many reformations and has had several uses. In its origins, it was the convent of Santa María de Jesús, but since the 19th century, it has housed institutions such as the Civil Government, the Military Government, a Teacher Training School, and the School of Párvulos, and since the middle of the 20th century, it has been the seat of the Provincial Council of Cáceres, hosting various services such as the Presidency or the General Secretariat.
Recommendations. In its façade, you can see the Renaissance style portal that was originally from the Seminar of Galarza, which was demolished when it was moved here.
