Located at the entrance of the Historic Centre through the Mérida Portal
Located at the entrance of the Historic Centre through the Mérida Portal, this house was built in the fifteenth century, although today only a little remains from the original structure.
We must highlight the main portal, with the coat of arms of the two families, framed by an alfiz.
The Latin inscription found on the shield, “Non habemus hic civitatem manentum sed futuram inquiribus,” is striking, and translates to, “We do not have a permanent city here, but we seek to have one in the future,” in reference to the search for eternal happiness in Paradise.
