In the seventeenth century, the building was made into an infirmary run by the Franciscan monks. It kept this use for more than 150 years, and later it was used as a college for the Carmelites of Charity.
On its façade, you can see three shields. One is of the city of Cáceres, with a lion and a castle, unlike the usual Franciscan Order, and another is the coat of arms of Philip V.
Recommendations: It is currently a cloistered convent of the Hieronymite Order, and you can buy delicious sweets made by the nuns.
