It is located outside the city walls, in the area of Caleros. On the exterior, the Gothic portals with archivolts and framed by an alfiz stand out.
The interior is made up of a single nave covered with ribbed vaults and a wide choir at the end. We must emphasize the magnificent main reredos, commissioned in 1557 to the master, Alonso de Berruguete, one of the most significant Spanish Mannerist sculptors. It was completed by his workshop and finally installed in 1570.
The most outstanding objects this church houses are the idols, the most important being the Jesus Nazareno, carved in Seville in 1609 by Tomás de la Huerta and San Judas Tadeo, of great devotion in the city.
Recommendations.- It is an essential visit, since this church is the early site of the Military Order of the Knights of Santiago.
