Ordered to be built by Luis de Becerra
Ordered to be built by Luis de Becerra, this impressive house, dating from the late fifteenth and early sixteenth centuries, concentrates all the elements of the façades of the Cáceres mansions:
- the main door has a Roman arch with large voussoirs,
- there is a window with twin columns on the sides,
- there are shields with the crests of Becerra, Paredes, Ribera, and Orellana over crossed flags and under the knight's helmet,
- there is a large alfiz that frames the entire façade,
- and it is topped with two gargoyles.
Recommendations: It houses the Mercedes Calles and Carlos Ballestero Foundation. You can visit the permanent collection of Mercedes Calles on the ground floor, and on the top floor, there are different and magnificent temporary exhibitions.
