Fuente Concejo is considered to be the most important of all those in the city of Cáceres. It was ordered to be built by Alfonso Golfín at the end of the 15th century. A royal coat of arms carved in stone and dated to the reign of John II stands out. The tank is covered with a vault supported by six arches that face the Ribera del Marco, an esplanade that served as a meeting place completes the fountain. The nearest door to access it from the Monumental City is the Arch of Cristo.
