The current appearance dates from the 18th century. The outer arch, towards the parapet walk, is topped with a niche containing a modern image of Santa Ana with the Virgin and Child.
The interior is composed of a succession of beautiful spiralled groin vaults made of brick, characteristic of Cáceres.
