Film Cáceres
In 2016 the Plaza Santa María, the nerve centre of Cáceres, became the main stage for the filming of the television series La Catedral del Mar (The Cathedral of the Sea) based on the novel of the same name by Ildefonso Falcones. The Concatedral Church of Santa María was transformed into the Basilica of Santa María del Mar , the setting surrounding the construction with workshops of carpenters, masons, stonemasons... brings us back to 14th century Barcelona. The series was starred by Aitor Luna and Michelle Jenner.
