Birdwatching
Slightly bigger and bulkier than a sparrow, with a stout beak, it often perches on fences, overhead wires or posts to deliver its characteristic jangling song in spring and summer. Very abundant in the dry-farming fields and pastureland around Cáceres, it can be seen in almost any point of its outskirts, numbers thinning out in the more wooded areas.
