Birdwatching
This white, grey and black wagtail has revealing names both in English and Spanish. Its English name tells us that it habitually wags its long tail up and down, while its Spanish name of “laundress” tells us that it usually lives near water. It is very common at any time of year in ponds, streams and reservoirs near Cáceres and there are also noisy, hundreds-strong city roosts in winter.
