The Ulloa family settled in Cáceres after the Reconquista, relocating from Galicia. In the sixteenth century, they ordered the construction of a palace at the highest point of the city.
The building, which we can see today, is located near the Church of Saint Matthew, and like many other palaces of Cáceres, it has a façade with a semi-circular arch made with large voussoirs, a balcony, a decorative alfiz--a moulding that envelops the upper area and large crests representing the pride of the family and their nobility.
It is also common for this type of building to have an interior patio with accesses to the different palatial rooms.
Recommendations: This palace is currently home to the “Eulogio Blasco” School of Fine Arts.
